The two designs shown above were my entries for the 2020 Penguin and Puffin Book Cover Competition. Both designs are for Michelle Magorian's novel - 

The first design was inspired by the letters that the main characters, Tom and Willie, send each other throughout the book. The second design is of a 1940's coat and an evacuation label, which represents how Willie was evacuated from London to the country during World War II.
